With A Little Help From My Friends

February has been a bit of a jerk, this year. It started out bad and pretty much stayed that way until this weekend.

The Pop Culture Show in Sarnia was a really good time. The guys did a great job putting it together and it’s the kind of show that you can see growing every year.

But honestly, this wasn’t a great weekend for me to be out of town. Work has been a bit of a deadline-scramble. Such is life, but Promises Promises always seems to suffer when that happens. I was getting my knickers in a twist about it on the way home last night, I knew I didn’t have the steam to knock something out for today and I have a mess of other stuff to catch up on which would have meant I couldn’t get back to comics until tonight at the earliest, and was thinking it may be Wednesday before anything got posted again. Having missed last week I was not happy about that.

I did a quick email check when I got home and out of the blue, my friend Leisl had swooped in and saved my butt with this awesome guest comic! I don’t think I could have been more surprised and tickled! (Seriously, there was dancing.)

I’ve mentioned Leisl a few times here. We went to school together and she has her own online comic, On The Edge. It’s been on hiatus for a bit, she’s been a little busy, studying pastry arts in London, buying houses and getting married. But, according to her blog, there will be new On The Edge comics soon! I will keep y’all posted on that. In the meantime, a big “Thank-You” to Leisl for helping me out here!
