While I try to keep things light here, I don’t think it’s been much of a secret that 2014 has been kicking my butt. I’m sure you’re all familiar with the feeling of all those plates you’ve been spinning in the air coming crashing down on top of you, all at once… well I’ll spare you the details but a few weeks ago, that’s pretty much what happened to me. So I’m calling a do-over. Happy New Year!
Sometimes there is no easy way to bounce back, but I had a lot of help getting here. I’ve always said I know the best people, and there’s no clearer view of that than when the chips are down. Even in the shadow of all that badness, I have to say I feel like the luckiest person in the world, just to have the people I do, in my life.
In addition to the huge debt of thanks I owe to my incredible husband and family for their patience, support and generosity; I had to reach out to some of my amazing, and talented webcomics friends, on very short notice, for the fantastic guest strips you saw here last week. As you can see, the response was nothing shy of amazing! I am so touched by the amount of time and work that went into putting those comics together for me that I’m at a bit of a loss for words to express it. I’m afraid I’ll have to fall back on a good ol’ fashioned set of “Thank-you(s)”
