This is definitely one of the most fun commissions I’ve ever done.
The figures are hand-drawn on a standard yoga mat (68″L x 24″W x 3mm thick).
It took a bit of trial and error to find inks that wouldn’t smudge, given the abuse a mat has to take. But they have been thoroughly tested by my friend and yoga instructor, Tanya. She says the drawings held up perfectly through the sweatiest hot-yoga classes and washed-up using a disinfectant spray, with no trouble.
I’m trying to track down a good wholesale price on standard mats, if I can, I’m thinking these should be readily available in The Promises Shop. I’d also like to have a bunch ready for Canfit in August. As of right now, they’re available on a commission basis and pricing will have to depend on the complexity of the requested design.
