What worked – The miracle of Christmas?
Honestly, the fact that I’m not the size of a dump truck today is a gift. I over-did it…I had a good time doing it, and I’d do it again, but it seems all good and moderate intentions go right out the window when the cheesy mashed potatoes come around. I tried to fill up on greens but I fail to see what being full has to do with having desert.
What needs work – Back on the wagon!
I’m a great believer in the notion that guilt weighs more than fat so rather then dwell on my holiday indulgences, it’s time to re-focus my efforts for the week ahead. Down with portions! Up with greens! I will drink my water and take my multivitamins, send the leftover deserts home with relatives and a few extra trips to the gym certainly wouldn’t go amiss either.
I have a secret, nagging fear that my “maintained” weigh-in is some kind of sneaky prank on the part of my body. It’ll wait a few weeks and when I least expect it and have actually been good, hit me with a two-pound gain. Maybe I’m being paranoid.
